What is Good Nutrition???

With so much conflicting information out there it can be hard to figure out the facts from the fads. Let's start with what Good Nutrition is not.

Good Nutrition is NOT:

  • Temporary

    • Can you still see yourself following this eating plan when you are 8​O?

      • any plan you plan to stop, is not likely to be good for your health performance or Body composition long term.

  • Overly restrictive 

    • Does this plan eliminate whole food categories? (Carbs/meat etc....I'm looking at you fad diets!)​​

    • Are you eating the same thing all the time because it's 'safe'?

  • Socially Isolating

    • Is your meal plan stopping you from attending family gatherings or going out with friends/coworkers?

      • Are you so concerned about calories/macros or weighing your food that you lack variety in your meals?

​

Good Nutrition should:

  • Improve your Health

    • Blood pressure, glucose levels, inflammation levels, just to name a couple

  • Improve your Body Composition

    • Body fat % and Circumference measurements should be easy to maintain in a healthy range with the right eating plan

  • Improve your Performance 

    • Lift more​, Run faster, Feel better, Have more energy through out the day

Consistent Good Nutrition Sound Impossible??

I thought so too until I figured it out for my self. Here's what I learned:

A one size fits all approach to nutrition doesn’t work! If it did, any one of the thousands of diet books or trainers with meal plans would have eliminated our rising health crisis. I'm sure you've tried at least a few yourself.
